The Britannia Hotel
The Britannia Hotel is situated in the middle of Coventry, next to the
Cathedral. The hotel has excellent conference facilities and is well used to
hosting the ANC. Most rooms have twin beds, but there are also a small number of
double and single rooms. All are en-suite. Guests can book in from 2:00pm
onwards. Rooms must be vacated by 11:00am on Sunday. Luggage can be stored until
after the conference if necessary. A blue key fob will be provided if a credit /
debit card is produced when booking in so that further payments can be put on a
room bill. Credit will not be given without a blue key fob. All credit accounts
are the responsibility of the individual.
The hotel bar will be the meeting place for those people arriving on the Friday
evening. It will stay open until at least 2:00am. The hotel restaurant usually
offers a cheap two course meal deal for those wanting to dine in on the Friday
night.
The conference will take place in the Connaught Suite on the first floor of the
hotel and will start at 1:00pm Saturday. This will also be the venue for the
dinner dance. The Cavendish Suite on the second floor, will be the venue for
pre-dinner drinks and also where you can order wine to have with your meal.
Arrival
Delegates and observers will also need to book in at the ANC desk in the foyer
on Saturday from 10:30am. Membership details will be checked prior to the ANC.
Anyone not a member at the time of the ANC and who does not have a valid receipt
will be surcharged their membership fee which is partly refundable.
Car Parking
• Parking is available in Cox Street. Preferential prices are available if
purchasing exit tickets from the hotel reception.
• 50p tickets for delegates departing on Sunday or between 6:00pm and 8:00am
• Guests departing another time £5.00
There's plenty to do in Coventry to occupy your time before the Conference
starts. Both the Cathedral and the National Motor Museum are within easy reach,
as are the shops! For the more energetic, the sports centre is next door,
offering swimming, badminton, squash and a gym. Within easy travelling distance
are Cadbury World and Warwick Castle.
